Overview:

This course will introduce the student to fundamental aspects of practical digital image processing, using specific applications to demonstrate these principles. The use of modern engineering tools such as Matlab is emphasized. Other solution approaches (C, C++, Java, FORTRAN, IDL, etc.) will be discussed. Students will explore an image processing topic of their choice and present their findings to the class.
